What Is a Dental Emergency?

Ever wondered what qualifies as a dental emergency? It’s any situation where you need immediate care to relieve pain, save a tooth, or address an oral issue that can’t wait.

Common dental emergencies include severe tooth pain that keeps you awake, a knocked-out tooth, abscesses causing swelling or discomfort, lost fillings, and broken or cracked teeth. These issues can be alarming, but don’t worry – prompt action can make all the difference.

At Infinity Dental and Beauty Spa, we’re here to provide emergency tooth pain relief and handle other immediate dental care needs quickly and effectively. Ignoring these problems could lead to more complications, but with our expert care, we’ll restore your comfort and oral health in no time.

What to Expect During Your Emergency Visit (Step-by-Step)

When you visit our clinic for a dental emergency, we’ll provide fast and effective care to ease your discomfort and resolve the issue. Here’s how our emergency dental visit process works:

Step 1: Quick Assessment
We’ll start with a thorough dental check-up to identify the problem. Whether it’s a cracked tooth, severe pain, or an abscess, we’ll quickly determine the best course of action.

Step 2: Immediate Pain Relief
Your comfort is our priority. If you’re in pain, we’ll provide pain relief for dental emergencies right away, using medications or local anaesthesia to help you feel better.

Step 3: Treatment Planning
Once the immediate issue is under control, we’ll discuss your treatment options. Whether you need a filling, repair, or even an emergency tooth extraction, we’ll explain the next steps clearly and answer any questions you have.

  • Is teeth whitening for everyone?
While teeth whitening is suitable for many people, it may not be recommended for those with certain dental issues like gum disease, severe sensitivity, or decay. During a consultation with us, we’ll assess your suitability and recommend the best option for you.
  • Can teeth whitening damage my teeth?
When done professionally, teeth whitening is safe and won’t damage your enamel. Our safe teeth whitening Isle of Man treatments are carefully administered to protect your teeth and gums.
  • Is teeth whitening painful?
Most patients experience no pain during whitening, especially with our gentle methods. Some may feel mild sensitivity, but it’s temporary and manageable.
  • Can whitening cause sensitive teeth?
Sensitivity is possible but usually short-lived. We take steps to minimise any discomfort and can provide desensitising treatments if needed.
  • What is the best way to whiten my teeth?
Professional whitening is the most effective and safest way to brighten your smile. Our in-office and at-home options offer flexibility and reliable results.
  • Is Professional Teeth Whitening Covered by Insurance?
Typically, teeth whitening is considered a cosmetic treatment, so it’s usually not covered by insurance. However, we offer various payment options to make it accessible.
