Understanding Routine & Non- Routine Dental Procedures

Routine Dental Procedures are standard treatments typically aimed at maintaining oral health and preventing dental issues:

1. Dental Exams and Checkups

   • Comprehensive oral health evaluation

   • Oral cancer screening

2. Professional Teeth Cleaning (Prophylaxis)

   • Scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar

3. X-rays (Radiographs)

   • Bitewing or panoramic X-rays for diagnostics

4. Fluoride Treatments

   • Strengthening enamel to prevent cavities

5. Sealants

   • Protective coatings on molars to prevent decay

6. Fillings

   • Treating minor cavities or decay

7. Basic Extractions

   • Removing non-complicated teeth (e.g., baby teeth, non-impacted teeth)

8. Routine Oral Hygiene Advice

   • Guidance on brushing, flossing, and dietary habits​

Non-routine or Special Interest Dental Procedures are specialised or more complex treatments often addressing specific conditions which is no longer aiming to prevent dental problems but fix the problem:

   • Crowns and Bridges: Restoring or replacing damaged or missing teeth

   • Veneers: Covering aesthetic imperfections

2. Oral Surgery

   • Wisdom tooth extraction (especially impacted teeth)

   • Surgical extractions

   • Bone grafting

3. Root Canal Therapy (Endodontics)

   • Treating infected or damaged tooth pulp

4. Orthodontics

   • Braces, clear aligners (e.g., Invisalign), and other alignment devices

5. Dental Implants

   • Replacing missing teeth with titanium posts and crowns

6. Periodontal Treatments

   • Scaling and root planing (deep cleaning)

   • Gum surgery for severe periodontal disease

7. Prosthodontics

   • Full or partial dentures

   • Implant-supported prosthetics

8. Advanced Diagnostics

   • Cone beam CT scans for 3D imaging

   • TMJ analysis and treatment

9. Emergency Dental Care

   • Treating dental trauma, fractures, or abscesses

10. Custom Appliances

• Nightguards, sport mouthguards, or sleep apnea devices

11.  Specialised Pediatric Treatments

• Pulpotomies (baby root canals)

How to join?

​

You can set up your monthly Direct Debit payment at the RECEPTION or by clicking the Join The Plan Button with your personal and bank details. We will then set up a schedule for you to be able to start reaping the benefits of your Infinite Smile Club Plan Membership.

Please note, that an £8 registration fee will also be collected with your first month’s collection. The collection of payment is on the 1st of every month.

What is the Global Dental A&E cover?

​

Our dental plans are not insurance schemes but we have included The Global Dental Accident and Emergency Scheme. It is a wholly discretionary scheme, not an insured scheme. It is funded by your dental plan to pay benefits at the sole and absolute discretion of the Scheme administrators. Dental plan patients are eligible to request assistance from the Scheme in the event of An Emergency Treatment Away From Home, Emergency Call Out, Treatment Following An Accident, Hospital Benefit, and Mouth Cancer. The Scheme responds to such requests on a wholly discretionary basis. This means that whilst the Scheme aims to provide benefits in most cases, the Scheme has no obligation to provide any benefit unless the Scheme administrators decide that the Scheme should provide a benefit. You are eligible for cover 90 days after your first payment has gone through.

Please note that insurance claims cannot be made for playing contact sports when you're not wearing your mouthguard.
